This Privacy Policy Outlines Air Algérie commitments regarding the protection of personal data collected and processed for air transportation, booking management, customer relations and all digital services. It has been developed in accordance with Algerian Law No. 18-07 of 10 June 2018, as amended and supplemented by Law No. 25-11 of 24 July 2025, relating to the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data.

It also complies with the relevant laws and regulations in countries where the company operates and/or where data subjects reside, to the extent that these provisions apply to the processing carried out (in particular due to place of establishment, the place of processing, the data subjects’ place of residence or the services offered). In this respect, when certain processing operations fall within the scope of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), particularly for passengers located in the European Union, Air Algérie applies the corresponding requirements. This policy is part of the company’s quality approach, which aims to ensure
regulatory compliance and control of its internal processes.

Collection of personal data

For the purposes of booking, check-in, and travel, Air Algérie collects information that is strictly necessary for the provision of its services and comply with its legal and regulatory obligations.

This data includes identification information (surname, first name, date of birth, nationality, travel document details and, where applicable, visa information), contact details (address, telephone number and email address), trip and booking information (itinerary, booking reference, flight preferences, requested services and boarding passes) and payment and billing information.
Depending on the requested services and/or security and border control requirements, additional information may be processed (e.g. special assistance, complaints, incidents and other data necessary for passenger assistance).

Technical data such as IP addresses, login IDs and cookies may also be collected when using our digital platforms.

Processing purposes

As the data controller, Air Algérie is committed to ensuring the lawful, fair and transparent processing of personal information, limited to the purposes strictly necessary for managing the provided services. The collected data is used exclusively for the following:

  • Managing reservations and flights, check-in, boarding and assistance operations, and handling complaints.
  • Ensuring the administrative and financial management of services (payment, billing, refunds and dispute management).
  • Complying with legal and regulatory obligations regarding aviation security and border control.
  • Communicating with passengers (flight notifications and assistance in case of changes).
  • Managing loyalty programs and Offering personalized promotions where required by regulations and in accordance with the rights of the individuals concerned (particularly the right to object and/or consent, as applicable).
  • Improve our services and ensure an optimal travel experience (statistics, satisfaction measurement and improvement of our digital platforms).

Security and confidentiality

A level of security appropriate to the risks associated with data processing is being ensured by Air Algérie through the implementation of technical and organizational measures.
